Sachi Moskowitz

Lucid DreamSQ.jpg

Sachi Moskowitz reconstructs fragments of memory through ceramics that blend painterly glazing and traditional techniques. Her work explores the interplay between personal history and universal themes, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty and uncertainty of the human condition. Raised in California’s Topanga Canyon, Humboldt County, and Los Angeles, her upbringing inspires vessels that pay homage to the wilderness and nostalgia of her youth, capturing the lush landscapes and cultural vignettes that shaped her identity.

Moskowitz is deeply influenced by her maternal grandparents, Magdalena and Michael Frimkess, whose pioneering contributions to the California Clay Movement continue to resonate. As both student and collaborator, she bridges generational legacies while creating her own narrative. Through coiled vessels and intricate vignettes, Moskowitz celebrates family, memory, and the enduring spirit of creativity. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
